"Faith of Abraham

Depiction of the altar of worship at Shechem
(www.dusktodawnpublications.com)

Review of central ideas from prior weeks:

  • Those who have faith in God will show it by obeying God's commands

  • When we stumble in our faith (and we will), God remains faithful to us.

  • When we live by faith, we trust in God and not in ourselves.

  • As we live by faith, our faith keeps growing.

  • God can be trusted to keep His promises.

  • Our greatest reason to give thanks is the unchanging nature and character of God.

  • Faith requires us to patiently trust God.

  • Faith grows stronger as we know God better.

  • Faith doesn't doubt God's promises because nothing is too difficult for God.
